Saving my body by losing some weight…
From July of last year up until April 15th of this year, I gained 25 pounds. I had a weight issue before, and after my fat jeans got too tight to fit into anymore, I knew it was time to go back to a very strict diet! When have you heard that one before? lol Granted, this isn’t for everyone, and I would strongly urge you to see your doctor when you feel you need to make a lifestyle change, and especially when it comes to your health!
I can only speak for myself, and talk about what I personally did to shed 22 pounds out of that 25 pounds I gained during that 7 month period.
Like I said… everyone is different, and we all react to foods differently too. My go to meals include organic oatmeal with a half a glass of cranberry juice for breakfast, soup, a few small slices of cheese with water for lunch ( low sodium soup ), and dinner I have a half a bag of frozen vegetables, cottage cheese, and apple sauce with water. ( Veggies I use a small pinch of salt, and pepper – No butter… ) If I have a snack I’ll have some fruit or, I’ll grab a yogurt where I’ll toss in more fruit such as strawberries.
I stay away from meat, bread, soda, wine, and coffee. ( I miss my mocha’s! )
Like in the movie, Mean Girls… I need to lose 3 more pounds! lol ( No Swedish nutrition bars for me… )
Losing the weight where I feel healthier saves me from being over-tired, and I just feel better about myself. Losing 22 pounds in a 2 month period is super difficult, but having a doctor is beneficial. She’s also my cheerleader if you will…
Do I weight myself daily?
Yep… However, there will be a time in the next month when I do hit my goal where I’ll visit that Moroccan or, that East African food truck after a relaxing day of shopping at Saturday market. It’s just a matter of maintaining my weight where I can still splurge at times without having the guilt hanging over my head because of my weight.
Saving ourselves is super important! It’s a savings you can’t even put a price on…
